Take a class to explore your options. Courses are available to increase your confidence choosing a career path. Taught by Academic and Career Exploration Coaches, you’ll benefit from their expertise in both exploration and academic planning with the support of classmates engaged in the same discovery process. Register to take the next steps toward your future.

COUN ED 205: Exploring Majors and Careers

  • Credit: One credit, S/N grading
  • Length: Seven weeks, offered fall and spring semesters
  • Audience: First- and second-year students choosing a major or career

This course is designed to help first- and second-year students choose a major or career. Utilize assessments to understand how your interests, skills, personality, and values relate to UT majors and careers. Hear from college advisors, conduct research, and learn decision-making and goal setting strategies. The course meets for seven weeks and is offered during fall and spring semesters.
