Kamiko Williams

Biography

Kamiko Williams is a former Lady Vols Basketball player who has coached students on the court and in the classroom.

What do you enjoy most about working with UT undergrads?

I love watching them grow into their most confident and self-assured selves. When their lightbulbs come on, it is something about that Big Orange spirit and pride that is unmatched. As an alumna, it fills my heart with so much joy that I can be a part of one of their most influential and developing stages into independence and adulthood.

What is the most important advice you would give new students?

Have an open mind and an open heart. Be brave. Connect. Give yourself grace to figure it out, to stumble, and to pause. Give yourself permission to evolve as often as you need to and in any way that you need to without explanation. Remember where you come from, remind yourself where you are going, & find little ways to make a difference. And ALWAYS practice humility.

What is your favorite place on campus?

Thompson-Boling Arena, of course!

Why should students take advantage of the ASC?

Students should take advantage of all resources on campus, but especially the ASC because every single one of us live our lives trying to help students build the foundation for them to achieve their childhood dreams, career, and life goals.
