Vol Study Sessions

The Vol Study Center offers one-on-one, group, and exam prep study sessions for nearly 300 subjects. Peer Learning Asisstants and study assistance are available by appointment, both online and in-person, and through drop-in.

Years of data demonstrate that students who attend study sessions receive higher course grades, have higher GPAs, and are more likely to remain in college!

Our peer learning assistants are predominately undergraduate students who have successfully taken the courses for which they offer assistance. All peer learning assistants are trained in active learning, learning strategies, and topics including exam preparation, time management, and more. They can work with you on course content as well as strategies for success and can refer you to other campus resources where needed.

We also offer one-on-one weekly sessions where you can meet with the same peer learning assistant each week on the same day and time. Spaces are limited, so request a weekly appointment early. Study groups are also welcome to request a peer learning assistant.

Our services are offered at no cost at six locations across campus. To make an appointment, search for ASC Vol Study Center on Vol Academic Connect (Navigate). If you cannot find assistance for your course, complete this form or email Additionally, if you are currently registered with Student Disability Services and would like to the option to schedule additional appointments in advance, please contact your SDS Coordinator.
