Biography

What do you enjoy most about working with UT undergrads?

Working with undergraduate students is so rewarding. Throughout the academic year, I get to learn about them as the great individuals they are. I get to share in their stories, goals, and hopes for the future. Better yet, I get to support them in reaching their goals!

What is the most important advice you would give new students?

Use any and all resources on campus! There are so many resources to take advantage of, and along the way, you will get to meet great people. Use your time here at UTK to establish relationships with peers and professionals who can support you in your journey to achieving your dreams. Also, give yourself grace—it will take time to figure out who you are, what you want to do, and what works best for you. College is all about developing yourself as a person and student, so allow yourself the time to do so.

What is your favorite place on campus?

Campus has too many great places to name just one. Ayres Hall, Hodges Library, and the views of downtown Knoxville/the river on the backside of the Hill are some of my favorites!

Why should students take advantage of the ASC?

The Academic Success Center is a great place with great people. You can always find a warm and welcoming environment here. The ASC is full of people who truly care about you and your success. Whether you need help with studying, setting goals, being more organized, or just need someone to discuss ideas with, we are here to support you! (Plus—someone in the ASC always has snacks or candy!)
