Biography
Juan Cordero serves as a Veterans Academic Coach in the Veterans Success Center. A proud Marine Corps veteran, Juan holds a Bachelor of Science in Business with a concentration in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Virginia Tech.
Before joining the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Juan spent nine years at Virginia Tech’s Office of Veterans Services, where he supported military-connected students throughout their academic journey from application to graduation.
At UT, Juan is dedicated to helping student veterans succeed both in and out of the classroom. His mission is not only to support their academic achievement but also to foster a strong sense of belonging within the university and the broader community, helping them build lasting connections that extend well beyond graduation.
